Character Descriptions

Lead Roles:

ASPASIA

The hero, Aspasia, is the shy older sister of Sam. She is new to school. Aspasia likes Finn and develops the power to cause increased electrical power, like explosions.

A HUGE time commitment. In nearly every scene. Many solos.

PATIENCE

The villain, Patience is the popular girl who befriends Aspasia, only later to become her enemy when she and Aspasia battle over Finn. Patience’s power is telekinesis (power to move things with her mind).

A very large part and a difficult character. Many solos. Equal to Aspasia in time commitment.

SAM

Sam is the younger sister of Aspasia. Her power is time travel. Sam becomes the real hero at the end of the story.

An important role with a couple solos/duets.

FINN

The popular boy in school, Finn is made science partner with Aspasia and falls in love with her.

The lead male role with one duet.

MS. PARRISH

As Sam and Aspasia’s mom, Ms. Parrish holds the secret of her daughter’s powers. She herself has the power to heal people, as well as erase minds.

Another important role for an older, mature actress. Many solos.

Supporting Roles:

STEVE

Finn’s best friend Steve is thrown into the love triangle of Aspasia, Finn, and Patience.
In about 1/2 of all scenes, with solo lines but no solo singing.

PRINCIPAL

Can be played by either boy or girl. No singing.

MS. FRYNI

Great comedy part for funny actress. One fun duet.

HERBERT

Great comedy part for funny actor. One fun duet.

HEATHER/TRISH/STACY

Sidekicks of Patience. Small parts with solo lines, but no solo singing.

STUDENTS

Various kids in the school hallway, classroom, school dance, science fair. Some individual students have solos.
