Today’s choreography rehearsal for Shipoopi sure was a lot of fun! The kids are doing great. Thursday is an all-cast call for 76 Trombones rehearsal, 2:30-4:30.

Permission Slips and Make-up Kits

Cast members of Music Man – don’t forget to get your rules permission slip signed and returned in order to participate in the musical. Also Here is a picture of the make-up kit you will need to buy. Kits are $18.00. Bring in cash or check to Mr. Bannister. The drama club will make one big order to save on shipping costs.

Today’s dance rehearsal for the musical number, Iowa Stubborn, went well. There were a few students absent, so please be checking the schedule and the scene chart to make sure when you need to be at rehearsal. You can also check outside Mr. Bannister’s room each day. Great job today, cast! You REALLY ought to give Iowa a try!!

Congrats to all the kids who auditioned for The Music Man! The cast list is up on the bulletin board. Our first rehearsal is Monday from 2:30-4:30. There you will receive a schedule. Some of you will receive scripts (there are not enough for everyone). Exciting!

Auditions for Music Man

There are 34 kids signed up to audition for this year’s musical! Auditions are Tuesday and Wednesday, January 3rd and 4th (the FIRST TWO DAYS back from vacation). Students do not stay for the whole afternoon. Each child has their own 10 minute audition time slot. The list can be found outside Mr. Bannister’s door. Children will read a scene from the play and sing a song. The scene and song selections for each character can be found at the Broadway Jr. website.

We will practice the audition material for The Music Man. We will read some scenes and sing some songs. Then we will have out annual Yankee Swap. Every student who brings in a silly thing from home, wrapped up, will be able to participate. There will be light refreshments. It will be 2:30-4:00.
